What does my ideal FLR look like, asked my wife

Speaking with the wife over the weekend about trying again with FLR, she asked “So what does this life you want look like?” I said I would have to think about that a bit. The phrase “role reversed 1950’s household” comes to mind. Does that paint a picture that is non threatening but is evocative enough so that I can leave it up to her to fill in the details? I am hoping to be non specific enough that she feels free to create the reality she wants without feeling that I am topping from the bottom or should I get out the big box of crayons and paint a detailed picture of my hoped for life for us?

I think you should try using the phrase and see how it goes. If it doesn’t seem to trigger a response from her, it might be time for the big box of crayons.
